Google Search Update Brings “App Streaming” Capability, Further Integrates Third-Party App Search Results

In a Google Search blog post, the team has announced some exciting new capabilities rolling out to your device soon. First, Google Search will now be able to pull internal search results within certain apps and display them within the Google Search app itself – without having to open the third-party app! Even better, certain apps can now be “streamed” to your device so you can use their search results without installing the app!

Nexus 6P Screen 16% Less Efficient Than Note 5

According to XDA Senior Member AndreiLux, the Nexus 6P’s screen is less efficient than the screen on the Note 5, but slightly more efficient (4.5%) than the screen on the Note 4. His tweet does not mention his methodology, however he likely used a similar method from when he charted the power efficiencies for the Galaxy S series. These results are interesting given that Google has stated that the Nexus 6P uses the latest generation AMOLED panel from Samsung.

Monthly Active Users for Mobile Chrome Doubles to 800 Million

Usage of Chrome’s mobile application has seen some outstanding growth over the last 12 months. Last year, Chrome on mobile was seeing 30-day active user numbers hitting the 400 million mark but this year that number has doubled to 800 million. Another interesting statistic revealed during Day 1 of 2015’s Chrome Dev Summit is that the average Chrome for Android user visits over 100 websites per month.

Samsung Plans to Launch Samsung Pay in the UK, Spain and China in Q1 2016

Samsung has launched it’s mobile payment service in their home country of South Korea as well as the United States. New information obtained by SamMobile says that Samsung plans to expand this service to the United Kingdom, Spain and China by the end of March 2016.
