Developers, Google Wants Your Ideas for an App or Game that Utilizes Project Tango Technology

If you have an idea for an application or game that uses Google’s Project Tango technology, Google wants to know about it. If your idea gets chosen, then you could be eligible for funding or engineering support to help your idea come to life. Not only that, but finished applications and games will be featured on the upcoming Project Tango smartphone from Lenovo.

If you’re tired of using Visual Studio to develop Android applications and games, then a new alternative is now available and it is open source too. Android++ has been in development for close to two years and the developer is finally confident enough to release the project on GitHub. They invite everyone to check it out and provide feedback on what they as users think about it.

Samsung Misses Q4 Expectations, But Increases Profits by 15%

Samsung just released their earnings guidance before the official Q4 earnings report and they are expected to be under their target. The company had projected a quarterly operating profit of 6.6 trillion Korean won, but a report suggests they will actually be closer to 6.1 trillion Korean won. Still, this is a 15% increase in operating profits when compared to the fourth quarter of 2014.

Lenovo Announces the First Project Tango Smartphone, will Launch This Summer

We have a couple of developer kits that include Google’s Project Tango technology, but we have yet to see a consumer device released. Lenovo plans to change this, and so, has announced a smartphone for the consumer that will be launched this Summer. They won’t show it to anyone yet, but it is said to include additional sensors and unique software compared to Google’s Project Tango tablet.
