One of the most crucial, yet often underappreciated part of a smartphone is the display. No matter how people use their device, there’s a good chance they will spend hours and days staring at the display. Whether it is a 5″ HD LCD panel, or a 6″ QHD AMOLED monster, it your window to the smartphone.
With that being said, not all of us are alike. Some users place a lot of importance on qualities beyond the screen size and resolution, such as display calibration and color reproduction. On the other hand, a lot of users look for quality in terms of how good the display looks subjectively, or maybe how readable it is under sunlight. And some do not mind as long as the display is deemed “good”. Different factors are of different importance to different people when it comes to display and screen quality. So we ask you,
How much do you care about screen quality on your smartphone? Do you specifically look for certain display traits when choosing your next purchase? Or are you fine with rolling with the display as long as it is of your chosen size and tech? Do you look for calibration support and other manual tuning for your smartphone display?
